Follow the Yellow Brick Road Pt. 1
I'm a little disappointed after this weekend...even though I had a good time. I have to break this story up into three parts because its long.
This past weekend the fams and I go up to my second "home," Ithaca that is, to see my big sis in a regional performance of "The Wiz."
On the way to the show, I realize that we are riding on E. State Street. If your a bruh and reading this, you can feel me on this one. So, I'm looking for 411 and to my dismay the numbers jumped from 409 to 420! Guess what was in between the two estates...none other than a sprawling gray cement slab filled wit cars...yes that's correct...a dam parking lot. Very upsetting indeed.
Anyway, the weekend was full of more unexpected surprises. On Friday night after the first show on opening night, the theatre threw an afterparty. After downing some lukewarm finger foods, my sister came out from the dressing room to join in the festivities. She began introducing the fams to the cast. The plot thickens...
To my surprise, the ladies in the show and at the afterparty were bangin'. I'm just like maybe I'll become a stageHAND after this...The first woman I was introduced to played the part of Dorothy...she was 19, from Brooklyn, had an amazing voice, body, and was very attractive with her small nose piercing and cornrows. I tried to play it cool in front of the fams. "And this is my brother ****..." As she turns her gaze from my auntie to me her eyes grow wider and sparkle and we lock eyes...it was one of those moments you'd see in a movie or somethin when the music starts playin. It was as if we read eachother's minds "DAMMMM" I proceed to shake her hand but instead she grabbed it and pulled me forward and embraced me. The hug was long and she pressed herself against me as I wrapped my hand around her nice waist. I tried my best not to move my hand down. I was like "ohhh...sht...I can't believe this is happenin in front of my mom." My mom is a comedian saying "oh so he gets a hug hmmm...," as my auntie chuckled next to me. Embarassing to say the least...but I couldn't care less as we still looked at eachother.
The 2nd woman I was introduced to looked ok. She just graduated college and had braids too. "And this is my brother ****" She didn't have any reservations of expressing herself aloud when she saw me. "Dam...ooook...how u doin?" I was like what the hell is goin' on, I wasn't wearing any Axe or nuthin that night neither...
